The high altitude Western Himalayan roads and many of its off route trails is heaven for Mountain biking lovers. These biking tracks veer through the Natures wonderland. Starting from the foothills of the Western Himalayas the lower regions in the state of Uttarakhand and Himachal are ideal launching point for the biking tours.
The lower Himalayan trails amidst the mild honey – milk beauty of pine fir and oak forests , mountain villages with exotic wooden houses, beautiful paddy fields and orchards, gives great opportunity for fun loving and leisure bikers.

Biking in Himalayas

 Route: Delhi, Manali, Rohtang Pass, Gondla, Keylong, Jispa, Darcha, Baralacha La, Naki La, Tanglang La, Leh, Hemis, Thiksey, Shey and most important Khardung La – the highest motorable pass in the entire World

Day 1: Arrive Chandigarh ex Delhi by train and drive to Manali 300 kms/ 12 hrs)

Day 2: In Manali – Visit a few places around Manali like Naggar and Sollang Valley.

Day 3: Manali/ Marhi (36 kms)

Day 4: Marhi/ Gondla over Rohtang Pass (3980 m (56 kms)

Day 5: Gondla/ Jispa visiting Keylong and other villages (49 kms)

Day 6: Jispa/ Zingzingbar enroute visiting Darcha (37 kms)

Day 7: Zingzingbar/ Sarchu over Baralacha La 4830 m (53 kms)

Day 8: Sarchu/ Takh (40 kms)

Day 9: Takh/ Pang over Lachulang La 5019 m (40 kms)

Day 10: Pang/ Rumtse over Tanglang La 5360 m (94 kms)

Day 11: Rumtse/ Upshi (35 kms)

Day 12: Upshi/ Leh (51 kms)

Day 13: In Leh – Visit Khardung La gaining altitude by 2074 m World’s highest motorable pass (39 km)

Day 14: In Leh – Visit by jeep Thiksey monastery, Hemis monastery, Shey Palace and in evening visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa

Day 15: Depart Leh – By flight back to Delhi.

Day 16: In Manali – Visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht, Tibetan Monastery & Naggar

Day 17: Manali – Chandigarh railway station (300 kms/ 9 hrs)

Route: Manali – Shimla (255 km)

Season: All year round Except during Monsoons

Day 1: Arrival at Manali.

Day 2: Acclimatization. Local cycling.

Day 3: Manali-Solang Valley-Manali (26 km): A biking to Solang Valley is just unique. It is uphill ride from Manali to Solang.

Day 4: Manali-Naggar-Kullu(42 km): Biking to Kullu via Naggar on left bank of Kullu Valley is another Biking option in Himachal Pradesh India. The Beas Valley, its luxuriant atmosphere is very special.

Day 5:Kullu-Larji (34 km): You can explore the temples of Kullu and afterwards bike to Aut along the river Beas. On the way you can visit the Old Shiva temple at Bajaura.

Day 6: Larji-Shoja (38 km): Ride along the river Tirthan upto Banjar . Till Aut it’s a level ride and there after a soft ascend upto Banjar. From Banjar an ascend to Shoja the village is surrounded by a dense forest (2683 mt).

Day 7: Shoja-Khanag over Jalori Pass (3223 mts ) (29 km): Start after breakfast. The road ascends gradually up to Jalori pass (3223 mts). This trek will take you to crystal clear Sarloskar Lake and beautiful mountain ranges.

Day 8: Khanag- Luri ( 52 kms): Camp near Sutlej.

Day 9: Luri – Taklesh ( 47 kms): Crossing Sainj, Nirath and Nogli . We will be climbing now.

Day 10: Taklesh- Khaderala ( 55 kms): Via Sungri crossing the apple orchards, small villages and thick jungle.

Day 11: Baggi – Narkanda – ( biking ) Narkanda – Shimla ( 77 kms): By jeep and stay in hotel.
